Obituary for Madelyn Hattie Woolnough (Dixon)

MADELYN H. WOOLNOUGH, 93, of Jackson Twp., NJ, passed away on Tuesday, May 19, 2020 after a long illness. Daughter of the late Madelyn F. Dixon, and sister of the late William R. Dixon, she was born in Brooklyn, NY. She formerly resided in Skillman, NJ, Freehold, NJ and Williamsburg, VA.
Mrs. Woolnough was happily married for 60 years to Robert T. Woolnough until his death in 2011, and together they enjoyed travelling to many places around the world. She was a Unitarian Universalist of four generations, and loved and supported her family.
Mrs. Woolnough is survived by two daughters, Merrill Woolnough of Milwaukee, WI, and Gail Costanza and her husband, Peter of Hamilton, NJ. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Barbara Antolick and her husband, Eric, John Hinchey III and his wife, Melanie, Patience Hinchey and her husband, Robert Heinz, and Valerie D’Alessandro and her husband, Domenic; and by four great-grandchildren Alexis and Emily Antolick and James and Sonya Hinchey.
Her family wishes to thank the staff of Cedar Unit, Bartley Healthcare, for their loving care during her illness.
Due to the CDC guidelines pertaining to the COVID-19 pandemic, funeral arrangements are private and under the care of the GEORGE S. HASSLER FUNERAL HOME, Jackson Twp., NJ. Private graveside services will be held in Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 350 Province Line Road, Arneytown, NJ.
