Obituary for Rose Basile (Marra)
ROSE BASILE, 94, of Toms River, NJ, passed away on Friday, March 6, 2020 at CareOne at Jackson, Jackson Twp., NJ. She was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, where she and her husband raised their children. She then resided in Jackson Twp. for many years before settling in Toms River 2 years ago.
Rose was a homemaker and a communicant of St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church in Jackson Twp.
Rose was predeceased by her parents, Carmine and Helen Marra; her brother, Charles Marra and his wife, Vivian, her sister, Dolores Basile and her husband, Vincent, her sister, Helen Mione, her son, Kenneth Basile and by her husband, Frank Basile. She is survived by her children, Diane Coots of NJ, Rosemary Mikic and her husband, Anthony of NJ, Richard Basile and his wife, Sheila of PA, and James Basile and his wife, Linda of NJ; her grandchildren, Kate Coots and Scott Cassidy, Jessica and Mathew Wilder, Daniel Coots, Jr., Nicholas, Paul and Frank Basile, Roseann Basile, Justin Giallanzo, Jordan and Geri Giallanzo, and Nicole and Kimberly Mikic; her great grandchildren, Benjamin and Jack Wilder and Ryder Basile; her daughter-in-law, Maryanne Basile of NY; and by her brother-in-law, Carl Mione of NJ.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her visitation from 2-4 and 6-8 PM on Sunday, March 8, 2020 at the GEORGE S. HASSLER FUNERAL HOME, 980 Bennetts Mills Road, Jackson Twp., NJ. A funeral gathering will be offered at 8:15 AM on Monday, March 9, 2020, at the funeral home. Her funeral liturgy will follow at 9:30 AM at St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church, 935 Bennetts Mills Road, Jackson Twp., NJ. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, 361 Sharrott Ave., Staten Island, NY.
