Obituary for James T. Brady
JAMES T. BRADY, 90, of Jackson Twp., NJ, passed away on Tuesday, March 26, 2019, at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune, NJ. He was born in Manhattan, NY, and resided in Pearl River, NY, prior to settling in Jackson Twp., 14 years ago.
James was a United States Army Veteran serving during the Korean War and earning the Army of Occupation Medal (Germany).
He was employed with IBM, White Plains, NY, for 35 years prior to his retirement in 1987.
James was a member of the Pearl River Hook and Ladder Fire Department, Pearl River, NY, and a communicant of St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church, Jackson Twp., NJ.
He was predeceased by his wife of 65 years, Dolores in January 2019. James is survived by his son, Kevin Brady and his wife, Karen of Gardiner, NY; his daughter, Donna Smith of Jackson, NJ; his grandchildren, Matthew Smith and his wife, Heidi of Deerfield, IL, Theresa Malfitano and her husband, Matt of Flemington, NJ, Andrew Smith and his wife, Mayra of Orlando, FL, and Michael Smith and his wife, Erica of Kennesaw, GA,; and by his great grandchildren, Liam, Natalia, Ruby, Gregory, Christopher and Rowan.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his visitation from 2-4 & 6-8 PM on Friday, March 29, 2019, at the GEORGE S. HASSLER FUNERAL HOME, 980 Bennetts Mills Rd., Jackson Twp., NJ. A funeral gathering will be offered at 8:00 AM on Saturday, March 30, 2019, at the funeral home. His funeral liturgy will follow at 9:00 AM at St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church, 935 Bennetts Mills Rd., Jackson Twp., NJ. Interment will follow in St. Anne’s Cemetery, 1610 Allenwood Rd., Wall Twp., NJ. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in James’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl., Memphis, TN 38105-1942 and would be greatly appreciated.
