Obituary for William Stone

William  Stone
WILLIAM STONE, 76, of Jackson Twp., NJ, passed away on Sunday, August 5, 2018, at Monmouth Medical Center, Southern Campus, Lakewood, NJ. He was born in Rahway, NJ, and resided in Woodbridge, NJ, prior to settling in Jackson Twp., 18 years ago.
William was employed as a School Teacher for the Perth Amboy Board of Education, Perth Amboy, NJ, for 37 years, retiring in 2004.
He was a volunteer at the Jackson Public Library for several years and also volunteered at Monmouth Medical Center, Southern Campus, for 16 years. He was a member of the Ancient Order of the Hibernians and the Knights of Columbus where he was a 4th degree Knight.
William was a communicant of St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church, Jackson Twp., NJ.
He is survived by his wife, Irene Stone of Jackson Twp.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his visitation from 2-4 & 7-9 PM on Wednesday, August 8, 2018, at the GEORGE S. HASSLER FUNERAL HOME, 980 Bennetts Mills Rd., Jackson Twp., NJ 08527. A funeral gathering will be offered at 8:30 AM on Thursday, August 9, 2018, at the funeral home. His Funeral Liturgy will follow at 9:30 AM at St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church, 935 Bennetts Mills Rd., Jackson Twp., NJ. A private cremation will follow. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in William’s memory to St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church, 935 Bennetts Mills Rd., Jackson Twp., NJ 08527 or the American Cancer Society, 2310 Route 34, Suite 1D, Manasquan, NJ 08736 and would be greatly appreciated.
