MARIE A. KARACH, 78, of Jackson Twp., NJ, passed away on Thursday, May 31, 2018, at Sunrise of Jackson, Jackson Twp. She was born in Jersey City, NJ, and resided in Montvale, NJ for 26 years, moving to Lakewood, NJ, in 1999, settling in Jackson Twp. in 2016.
Marie was employed as an Administrative Assistant with various engineering companies, retiring in 1998 after 20 years of service.
She was a naturally gifted artist whose various talents included painting, ceramics, and interior design. Additionally, she enjoyed cooking and entertaining, but her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren. Marie was devoted to her spirituality and daily prayers.
She was predeceased by her Parents, Carmen and Rose Esposito; and by her Husband of 52 years, Charles Karach in 2014. Marie is survived by her Daughters, Karen Langer of Manchester, NJ, Jean Saitta and her Husband, David of Jackson Twp., NJ, and Lynn Sabatello and her Husband, Thomas of Waldwick, NJ; her 3 Grandchildren, Thomas Langer, Christopher Saitta, and Amanda Saitta; her Brother, Charles Esposito and his Wife, Elaine of Jackson Twp., NJ; and by her Sisters-in law, Kristina Pellegrino of Emerson, NJ, and Louise Karach of Cresskill, NJ; as well as numerous Nieces and Nephews.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her visitation from 2-4 & 6-8 PM on Monday, June 4, 2018, at the GEORGE S. HASSLER FUNERAL HOME, 980 Bennetts Mills Rd., Jackson Twp., NJ. A funeral gathering will be offered at 8:30 AM on Tuesday, June 5, 2018, at the funeral home. Her Funeral Liturgy will follow at 9:30 AM at St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church, 935 Bennetts Mills Rd., Jackson Twp. Interment will follow in Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 350 Province Line Rd., Arneytown, NJ 08562. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Marie’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942 and would be greatly appreciated.
