JOHN EDWARD MENAFRA, 75, of Little River, South Carolina, passed away on Sunday, April 1, 2018. He was born in Elizabeth, NJ, and resided in Jackson Twp., NJ prior to settling in Little River, SC, 12 years ago.
John was a self-employed sign manufacturer, retiring in 2006 after 58 years of service.
He was a member of the Jackson Elks, and the Lions Club. John was a Boy Scout Leader, and a Little League Coach. He also volunteered for the Special Olympics.
John was predeceased by his Wife of 53 years, Anita Menafra in 2015. He is survived by his Sons, John Menafra and his Wife, Alice of Myrtle Beach, SC, Cliff Menafra and his Wife, Irene of Jackson Twp., NJ, and Colin Menafra and his Wife, Lisa of Jackson Twp., NJ; his 7 Grandchildren, John, Jr., Kimberly, Clifford, Jr., Corey, Hailey, Livia, and Colin, Jr.; his Brother, Robert Menafra and his Wife, Eliza of Bumpass, VA; and by his Sister, Claudette Cassano of Metuchen, NJ.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his Memorial Service at 3:00 PM on Sunday, April 29, 2018, at the Jackson United Methodist Church, 68 Bennetts Mills Rd., Jackson Twp., NJ 08527. Please gather at 2:45 PM at the church.
