William  Kanaris
WILLIAM KANARIS, 74, of Whiting, NJ, passed away on Thursday, March 1, 2018, at Monmouth Medical Center, Southern Campus, Lakewood, NJ. He was born in New York, NY, and resided in Jackson Twp., NJ, prior to settling in Whiting 1 ½ years ago.
William was employed as a Security Guard for Great Adventure Theme Park, Jackson Twp., retiring in 1999. Prior to that, he worked for 37 years as a bridge Painter for L & L Painting, Local Union 806, Long Island, NY.
William was a United States Navy Veteran serving as a Petty Officer during the Vietnam War.
He was predeceased by his Parents, Costas and Victoria Kanaris; his Grandson, Anthony Kanaris; and by his Wife, Lorraine Kanaris. William is survived by his Daughters, Denise Kanaris Brown and her Husband, Anthony, and Barbara Kanaris; his 4 Grandchildren, Joseph Brown, Giavanna Brown, Jessica Santana, and Erica Dabrio; his Great grandchild, Anthony Brown; his Brother, Nicky Cokinos; his Sister, Helen Siokas; and by his many Good Friends.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his visitation from 2-4 & 6-8 PM on Monday, March 5, 2018, at the GEORGE S. HASSLER FUNERAL HOME, 980 Bennetts Mills RD., Jackson Twp., NJ 08527. A funeral gathering will be offered at 8:30 AM on Tuesday, March 6, 2018, at the funeral home. His Funeral Liturgy will follow at 9:30 AM at St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church, 935 Bennetts Mills Rd., Jackson Twp., NJ. Interment will follow in St. Vladimirs Russian Orthodox Christian Cemetery, 316 Cassville Rd., Jackson Twp., NJ.
