ELIZABETH ANNE DOWE, 61, of Jackson Twp., NJ, passed away on Monday, November 20, 2017, at Monmouth Medical Center, Southern Campus, Lakewood, NJ. She was born in Brooklyn, NY, and resided there until settling in Jackson Twp., 33 years ago.
Elizabeth was employed as a Registered Nurse at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune, NJ, retiring June 16, 2016, after 38 years of employment.
She was a graduate of Kingsborough Community College, New York, NY, where she received a degree in Nursing.
Elizabeth was a communicant of St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church, Jackson Twp., NJ.
She was predeceased by her Parents, Thomas and Helen McCarthy. Elizabeth is survived by her Husband of 36 years, Robert J. Dowe of Jackson Twp.; her Son, Robert T. Dowe and Danielle Pugliese of East Windsor, NJ; her Daughters, Jacqueline Dowe and Janine Dowe both of Jackson Twp.; her Brother, Thomas McCarthy; and by her Sisters, Eileen St. John, Patricia McCloskey, and Mary Ellen McCarthy.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her visitation from 4-8 PM on Friday, November 24, 2017, at the GEORGE S. HASSLER FUNERAL HOME, 980 Bennetts Mills Rd., Jackson Twp., NJ. A funeral gathering will be offered at 9:30 AM on Saturday, November 25, 2017, at the funeral home. Her Funeral Liturgy will follow at 10:30 AM at St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church, 935 Bennetts Mills Rd., Jackson Twp., NJ. A Private Cremation will follow.
