Condolence From: Pamela Tinagero
Condolence: My father, Salvador Tinagero, was predeceased by his loving wife, Ruth Ann Tinagero (nee Fizer) of Staten Island, NY & survived by his wife Marianne Tinagero (nee Miller). He was also predeceased by his parents, Salvador Tinagero Sola & Amada Arriaga Pereira, both from San Juan, PR & his brother, Ramon Eloy Tinagero. Sal is survived by his 4 children: Cynthia Wood, Tammy Cooper, Pamela & Salvador Tinagero & their respective families. He is also survived by his 4 step-children: Robert Aitken, Kathleen Clawson, Laura Simon & Denise Williamson & their respective families. Sal's cousin, Soccoro "Coco" Brown, brother-in-law Peter Fizer & sisters-in law Gladys Fischer & Pauline Tinagero & their respective families are also survivors. My father was born in Manhattan, NY and also resided in Staten Island, NY, Old Bridge, Millstone & Jackson, NJ. Sal spent his entire adult working years in the trucking industry. He met Chet Wilk, his best friend & future business partner of Jersey Overnight Express at Hermann Trucking in NJ. Ray Beardsley & Jack Heller were also partners. JOE was in business for approximately 30 years prior to closing it to retire. The Tinagero & Wilk families have many memorable memories from vacations & our time spent together. My father was a tremendous source of support to the many people that knew him. I know his passing will be a loss to many. Sal was a good listener who offered practical advice & instilled integrity & doing the right thing to all of us. Sal was extremely proud of his 3 grandchildren. He proudly walked Lauren Wood down the aisle on 5/20/2017 to marry Jemal Gibson in Dallas, TX. She also recently completed her Doctoral in Physical Therapy. Sarah Cooper is pursuing a Bachlor's in Psychology @ Binghamton University in New York. I know my father was there in spirit on 6/21/2017 @ Kimberley Cooper's graduation from South Brunswick High School. She is passionately pursuing Equine Studies the Fall 2017 @ Centenary University in Hackettstown, NJ. My father will always remain alive in the thoughts & prayers of those who loved & knew him.

Condolence: So sorry for your loss. I hold Sal in greatest respect and admiration. He was a fine man and a great friend to my Dad. I most appreciate him for the times he tried to help and guide me through difficult times. Please forgive me that I could not attend services. No disrespect-it was just not possible to fly east. I am so glad we got to share dinner together several months ago. That was very special. - Tom
